Lenny's Lean4Life

Lenny's Lean-4-Life Program Less Is More!

We are constantly inundated in today’s society with the “more is better, more for less” approach to marketing. Buying into this ploy has made us the most over-fat country in the world. The “more for less” advertising mantra sells! It sells on the basic psychological premise that we can obtain more products for less money. This may be attractive when purchasing an automobile but not when it comes to fueling your body.

I find that portion size is one of the most misunderstood components of individual dietary intake. This is the first step to taking control of your eating habits. Only after you truly understand this will you be able to begin to realize what a healthy day of consumption is and how to manage your individual consumption. By beginning my program you now know what your individual caloric consumption should be based upon your individual metabolic rate (body composition, daily activity level and personalized exercise program).

The Great Contradiction

Deprivation will make you fat. If an individual does not eat enough food or is inconsistent when they eat the body will think it is being starved and begin storing fat and living on its own active (muscle) tissue. By depriving the body of fuel, even in small increments, you will be depriving yourself the nourishment of essential vitamins and minerals that we need to sustain a healthy body and subsequently a healthy mindset and outlook. The biggest problem with deprivation is that most people cannot sustain this type of lifestyle for very long. When they begin to eat what was a normal amount they not only put back on the weight, but because they have now slowed their metabolism they will gain more fat than before. And the cycle continues.

Lenny’s Lean-4-Life

By knowing what your present individual metabolic rate is we can plan your eating and exercise habits around your lifestyle. You may, however, need to make some adjustments in your lifestyle to ultimately succeed on this program. I took great care in designing this program for you as an individual, not for a generic woman or man at a certain age. Lets get started!
